
I think that the technologies aren’t inherently right nor wrong: it’s their use which can turn them either into good or evil – and it depends on man.
That being said, I believe that the Social Networks (which elsewhere I compared to Hobbes’ state of nature) have got the darkest side. A shady heart which, e.g., gave rise to a broken view of the freedom of thought – and speech and expression – whereby everyone is free to think/say/express anything that the Single Dominant Mindset imposes: otherwise, the non-aligned must be eliminated (virtually, for now, but who knows…?).
And yet, we’ve still got hope. Because, “blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake […], blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely” (Matthew 5, 10-11). And, in the end, darkness “shall not prevail” (Matthew 16, 18).
